Shining Bright: Quotes and Images to Inspire Optimism, Gratitude & Belief In Your Limitless Potential

Tao Porchon-Lynch Debuts Shining Bright Book Featuring Quotes & Images

November 18, 2017–Today 99-year-old yoga master Tao Porchon-Lynch held her new book, Shining Bright: Quotes and Images To Inspire Optimism, Gratitude & Belief In Your Limitless Potential, in her hands for the first time. The book was previewed at the Athleta store on 18th & 5th Avenue in Manhattan as part of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Day events at the United Nations.

Born in 1918, Tao shows us what is possible as she continues to cross the globe teaching yoga, sharing insights and doing ballroom dance competitions. Many have asked about a sequel to her award-winning autobiography, Dancing Light: The Spiritual Side of Being Through the Eyes of a Modern Yoga Master (2015) since Tao’s life is still so full now. At an age when most people have slowed down, she is ready for the next adventure. From when she used to “listen to the grass grow” as a child, she learned how to tap into the core essence of life, what she calls the “Eternal Energy.” This Life Force is her adrenaline. Despite three hip replacements, she seems to have boundless vitality.

Tao’s light, along with her words of wisdom, is her present to us.  So, we thought it would be fitting to put her insights in the form of a gift book–just the right size for you to carry with you and be reminded of your own possibilities. It is a perfect dose of inspiration to give loved ones and colleagues. Embedded in this little book is the essence of who she is–the thoughts and words that keep her spirit enriched and alive. We chose seventy of Tao’s favorite quotes and matched them with original images from age 96 to 99. These are not from staged shoots. This is Tao in motion doing what she loves. In order to witness the scope of her recent escapades, we’ve indicated when and where each photo was taken–from Dubai and Mumbai to Slovenia and Montenegro. FIND OUT MORE AND GET THE BOOK HERE.
